Complete Your Philly First Homebuyer Orientation
If you are purchasing a home in Philadelphia, you may be eligible for the Philly First down payment assistance program. The program can provide up to $10,000 toward an eligible home purchase.
The first step is completing an approved homebuyer orientation. Choose the option below that best fits your situation.
Program funding, eligibility requirements, income limits, and availability may change. Final eligibility is determined by the program administrator, housing counseling agency, and lender.

Option 1: Urban League
Best Option for Faster Class Availability
Urban League typically offers earlier available orientation dates. This is usually the better option when you want to move quickly or your income is above the NeighborhoodLIFT income limit.

Potential Access to Additional Assistance
AHCOPA may have access to the NeighborhoodLIFT program, which could provide up to $15,000 in additional assistance for eligible buyers. Class availability may be more limited.

Which Option Should You Choose?

What Happens After You Register?
1. Register for Your Orientation
Register for the homebuyer orientation using the option that best fits your situation (Urban League or AHCOPA).
2. Attend Your Scheduled Webinar
Attend the orientation webinar at your scheduled date and time.
3. Create Your Online Counseling Portal
Create your online counseling portal so you can track your progress and complete your requirements.
4. Upload Your Financial Documents
Upload the requested financial documents to your counseling portal.
5. Schedule Your Counseling Appointment
Schedule your one-on-one counseling appointment with your housing counselor.
6. Complete Remaining Requirements
Complete any remaining program requirements to finalize your assistance.
